PMI
DOMIZI can carry out PMI (Positive Material Identification) tests on metal alloys before they undergo any treatment, using a THERMO SCIENTIFIC Niton XL2-GOLDD Analyser spectrograph, a device exploiting the X-ray fluorescence (XRF). Thanks to the HYPERLINK technology “http://www.sirioanalitix.com/tecnologia-goldd/” or ” GOLDD technology” GOLDD – Geometrically Optimized Large Area Drift Detector, the XL2-980 analyser can analyse light elements like S-sulphur, P-phosphorus, Si-silicon, Al-aluminium and Mg-magnesium. Once the PMI is completed we issue a test report certifying the material has been identified.
PENETRANT LIQUID
The liquid penetrant inspection is a testing method that is particularly suitable for identifying and measuring surface discontinuities like cracks, porosity defects, folds, microshrinkages etc. with great accuracy. The method is widely used by petrochemical, oil & gas and aeronautical industries, as well as by general industries, on a wide range of materials (mainly metallic).
At Domizi the penetrant liquid tests are carried out by qualified 1st and/or 2nd level staff, in compliance with standards ASNT-TC-1A and ISO 9712.
RADIOGRAPHY
DOMIZI can carry out radiograph tests complying with the standards in force (ASME, EN etc.), outsourcing them to specialised external laboratories.
