These instruments are designed to keep under control the level of a fluid, liquid or gaseous , within vessels.

The level of liquid present in a vessel is checked by the float being inside the main body, the chamber, of the Level Switch. When level rises up to the preset height, the float makes the output device trip (trip on rise); when level comes down again and exceeds the preset height, the float makes the output device come back to the initial position (reset on fall); between the set and reset heights there is always a gap, named differential : see below. The inverse function is available too : Trip on fall and Reset on rise. The output device can be electric or pneumatic, is snap action and is placed in the housing.

The Level Switch can be electric (one or more microswitches, type SPDT,SPDT) or pneumatic (one valve, type ON-OFF).

APPLICATIONS. Alarm for Max and Min level, control of pumps on vessels including simple water or chemical corrosive or toxic liquids, under pressures and temperatures also very high or very low; for liquids with specific gravity from 500kg/m³ up.

Body Materials : Carbon steel ASTM A106B, stainless AISI 304, or AISI 316.

DF2 – Top Mounting Level Switch provided with 2 displacer hung on a metallic rope and 1 Electric/Pneumatic Switch Assembly or 2 Electric Switch Assembly , designs up to ANSI 600 raiting.

DF3 – Top Mounting Level Switch provided with 3 displacer hung on a metallic rope and 2 or 3 Electric Switch Assembly , designs up to ANSI 600 raiting

DFCE – Economic Top Mounting Level Switch provided with 1 displacer hung on a metallic rope and 1 Electric Switch Assembly , designs up to ANSI 600 raiting

DFCG – Economic Top Mounting Level Switch provided with 1 displacer hung on a metallic rope and 1 Pneumatic Switch Assembly , designs up to ANSI 600 raiting.

DFK – Top Mounting Level Switch provided with 1 displacer integral with a vertical rod and 1 Pneumatic Switch Assembly , designs up to ANSI 300 raiting.

DBC - Side Mounting Level Switch designed to be mounted specially onto industrial steam boilers , provided with inspection flanges , side-side mounting , connections to vessel available : sleeves threaded 1’’NPT-F; provided with 1 float/displacer and 1 or 2 Electric Switch Assembly , designs per pressures up to 45 Kg./cm2.

DL- Side Mounting Level Switch , side mounting , connections to vessel available : flanged ; provided with 1 displacer and 1 or 2 Electric/Pneumatic Switch Assembly , designs up to ANSI 2500 raiting.
